The Challenge
They began their relationship with Charterhouse Training by undertaking IOSH Health and Safety training and providing sessions for their wardens and fire safety officers on a distance learning basis. At the time Hazel Langley, Acting Head of HR was using another external training provider for ILM and CMI management training and she was unhappy with the service they were receiving as well as the relevance of the course.
Hazel said, "I contacted Charterhouse to see if they could help us out of a difficult situation. We weren't getting what we wanted from our existing training provider and needed to act quickly to rectify this and bring the training back on track for our employees."
The Outcome

Groundwork have had positive feedback from the employees who attended the courses put on in conjunction with Charterhouse Training, which are delivered on their business premises in a number of different regional locations.
Groundwork continues to work with Charterhouse on a variety of training and development programmes.
"This course is really useful for me in terms of managing projects and staff on projects. It is really interesting and makes you think about why you do the things you regularly do.
Meeting up with other colleagues from all parts of the business is useful too as everyone has issues within their working lives that they need to address and seeing how others solve problems is really helpful to your own work."
